I think people that know me would be surprised how hard it is for me to get out of bed every single day.

I am grateful I learned to focus my energy on being generous with the people I engage with every day. The experience has given me more to be grateful for than I ever imagined.

I am grateful for the willingness of Kansas lawyers to say “I’m not ok”. I am equally grateful for the Kansas lawyers who reach out a helping hand when they hear this.

If people really knew me, they would know that despite my outward appearance of confidence I struggle a lot with imposter syndrome.

I am grateful for my family, friends, and support system. I am particularly grateful this week for my husband, Jay Hall, who took a day off from work to help KALAP at our annual spring seminar. He consistently shows his support in everything I do.

I am grateful for my children, my husband and my friends and family. Sometimes we want to add things like to my friends and family who are there for me and such but today I am going to say to the world that I am grateful for them all without any stipulations! I am also grateful for strangers who smile or say something kind when they do not have to. They are just simply being kind.

If people really knew me, they would know that I have extreme social anxiety and sometimes seem quiet or shy when I am actually just trying to breathe or not say something really stupid or awkward.
